Lori Spadorcia is the Vice President, Communications and Partnerships for the Centrefor Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto. With over 15 years experience in public affairs and stakeholder relations, Lori has worked with many of Canada’s senior federal and provincial government leaders as well as leaders from the corporate and non‐profit sectors.
At CAMH, Lori provides strategic advice to the President and CEO and the Executive Leadership Team and directs the organization’s strategies related to communications, government affairs, resource acquisition, public policy and partnerships. CAMH is Canada’s largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, as well as one of the world’s leading research centres. CAMH’s vision is to transform the lives of people affected by mental illness and addiction today and tomorrow.
At the federal government, Lori was the Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Human Resources Development Canada. She led such files as the negotiations with the provinces to spearhead the very first early learning and child care multilateral framework and Canada’s Innovation Strategy which brought the private and non‐profit sectors together with federal and provincial governments to implement a skills and learning action plan.
In Ontario, she served as a senior advisor to Ontario’s Minister of Finance, where she had responsibility to advise on the creation and execution of the provincial budget.
Lori holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University in Hamilton and has completed leadership training at Harvard University.
