Paddy joined The Capital Hill Group in 2008 after over 12 years as the MP for Burlington and 16 months as Deputy Principal Secretary to the Leader of the Official Opposition. As an MP, Paddy was the Canadian delegate to several IPU-EU WTO parliamentary meetings where she defended Canada’s supply management system. Prior to her election in 1993, Paddy lobbied at Queen’s Park and at provincial and municipal governments across the country from 1989-1993 following almost 4 years in the Ontario Premier’s Office and the Liberal Caucus Services Bureau.
Paddy has a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Marketing from McGill University and completed the ICD Directors’ Education program at the Rotman School of Business. In addition to chairing the 2012 United Way of Burlington campaign, Paddy serves on the boards of ROCK: Reach Out Centre for Kids (children’s mental health), the Canadian Landmine Foundation and the Lewis and Ruth Sherman Foundation.
With the CHG team, Paddy lobbies Queen’s Park, municipal governments and works at the Federal level when needed.
