Abby Davidson Maffei, Partnerships Manager, CARE

Abby Davidson Maffei is CARE’s Partnerships Manager for the Strategic Partnerships and Alliances team. She leads CARE USA’s work in brokering alliances with the U.S. government and the private sector. She also manages relationships with food, beverage and agriculture companies. She is a key advisor for the recently launched partnership between CARE and Cornell University, which aims to advance sustainable food systems that strengthen the resilience of chronically food insecure women and their families. Previously, she was a Senior Project Manager for the Washington, DC based Ethics Resource Center, where she managed a program funded by Merck & Co., Inc. and The Merck Company Foundation to support the development of new, independent ethics/anti-corruption NGOs in four developing countries. Also at the Ethics Resource Center, she consulted with multilateral organizations, companies and global nonprofits to design and evaluate their internal ethics and compliance programs. She has experience on four congressional campaigns and started her career as a Staff Assistant to U.S. Congressman Sander Levin. She holds a Master of International Relations from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), a Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University.
