Amanda Alvaro

Amanda Alvaro is the founding Managing Director of Narrative Advocacy Media. Over her career, she has worked on social marketing, brand development, advertising and public relations for a diverse range of business, government and not-for-profit organizations including; Scotiabank, WIND Mobile, Hyundai Canada, Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, Rethink Breast Cancer and Ontario Science Centre. She is known for her ability to build corporate and executive reputations and has provided counsel to small and mid-cap companies in various industries, including education, automotive, finance, health care, and telecommunications.

Amanda has developed award-winning social marketing strategies for communicating with a diverse audience and in 2009 led her team to win a Gold Cassie for Advertising Effectiveness for the youth-driven campaign Recycleme.org on behalf of Trillium Gift of Life Network. In 2010, she led Narrative to win Best in PR at the Canadian Marketing Awards for the launch of WIND Mobile nationally.

Before joining Narrative and the Bensimon Byrne team, Amanda worked as the Sr. Communications and Issues Advisor for Ontario’s Minister of Education and served as the Sr. Media Advisor to Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty in the 2007 provincial election.

Amanda is a media commentator and speaker on topics of politics, image, reputation and social marketing. She is a founding member of Ad Women of Toronto, Chair of Ad Ball and serves on a variety of boards and fundraising committees including; Empire Club of Canada, Innovators Ball for the Ontario Science Centre, Power Ball and a founding member of Artbound and the Committee for the Advancement of Girls of Women.
