Lara has always cherished the community in which she grew up and where she now lives in Brazil. She has worked through her school and student groups to spread theimportance of preserving our environment and caring for the less fortunate.

In 2012, Lara participated in an English Immersion Program which greatly improved her English and sharpened her leadership skills. Today, she studies History at university and is a part of the University’s Student Council where she represents student interests and believes that all youth should have fair access to education.

Seeing young people engaged in projects, programs and actions that help to improve the society they live in, motivates Lara to help to improve her city and her country. Lara hopes that the continued fight for equality and education. She has an interest in caring for the environment and believes that sustainable development will improve the quality of human and natural life around her.
