Name: Morgane Richer La Flèche

Country: Canada

Born and raised in Montreal, the daughter of a French-Canadian father and an Italian-Venezuelan mother, Morgane is a firm believer that today’s global issues cannot be solved without engaging the power of women everywhere. She is always eager to embrace the next challenge, and tries to bring an international perspective and collaborative mindset to any discussion.

Morgane is very involved with several non-profit organizations that use the arts as a creative outlet and a vehicle for social change. As the fundraising manager for Kids to Kids, she worked closely with Peace Corps volunteers to implement programs that improved access to arts, healthcare, and education for children. She also works with ArtShould, an after-school mentor program for at-risk youth in Chicago public schools, to use art as a tool for self-expression and structure. Through her work with MODA, Morgane channels her love of fashion into a social platform for the arts that provides resources to students interested in fashion.

After attending the Groton School outside of Boston, Morgane is currently a second year undergraduate student at the University of Chicago. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in History and Russian Language and Literature, and plans to focus her studies on economic history and women’s rights. She aspires to be a lawyer.
