Ellina is a passionate student and believes it is every young citizen’s responsibility today to ensure that they give something back to the society that they have been taking everything from.

In 2011, Ellina traveled to the United States for a year abroad in the Future Leaders Exchange scholarship program. She volunteered in the CCI Greenheart Organization, working with women from countries all over the world developing projects that concentrated on learning to respectfully work with people from all cultural backgrounds. From 2011-2013, she attended conferences abroad to widen these views and ideas, and developed her comprehension in leadership, problems of youth, diversity and religion at the “Better Understanding for Better World” conference with 72 ambassadors of 34 different countries of diverse faiths and cultural backgrounds. The conference prompted an atmosphere of belonging, as well as cultural understanding that led to activities for better cooperation on a personal, local and global level for Ellina.

This August, Ellina will begin her university studies at New York University in Shanghai after a very successful secondary career. Ellina participated in many competitions and various academic awards and will end her career with a gold medal for excellence in academic performance, the highest academic award in the Russian high school system.

After graduating from university, Ellina hopes to spend one year travelling around Asia teaching English in high schools to girls - the world’s potential leaders.
